This bed is made of Rubberwood which is a plantation grown hardwood made from a Rubber Tree. Rubber wood is a member of the maple family. This bed can be split in order to have a twin bed and a futon. The ladder can only be used on the right side as shown in the picture. The drawers are made out of the same high quality hardwood used by the Newport line of bunk beds.
